The latest E-Marketing Predicted trends and analysis

The article from emarketings.org is really interesting in terms of prediction. As I analyse the movement of strategies and relationships in terms of marketing I understand that businesses have finally understood that it is the consumers thought that counts and not the product in itself. remeber whenn we talked about "people buy what you think not what you do"?

Consumers have reached a phase where manipulation is just so obvious to them, as they understand more and more where you wanna get to have them buy your product, that they understand they can also make businesses change their minds about their products.
And as businesses understand it is their advantage to sell what the consumers want, they change the type of relationship from a one way communication to a two way communication...

The best marketing lesson comes from APPLE inc.

This is a video of Ted demonstrating how it is true that "people don't buy what you do they buy what you believe!". The best lesson in terms of marketing that I have ever heard. So true. the key to success is not money and the right person and the right ideas. It is all about making people dream, believe in what you believe and therefore make them buy what you do. Martin luther King Didn't give the "I have a dream speach" rather the "I have a plan speach".

Working Solo

Working solo has couple of advantages. One of them is managing your time like you fell it.

Of course this requires a good discipline. However, it enables you to do more research so as to find ideas and give quality services to your clients.

I remember being a employee and working through the routine each day, I hardly had time to build more capacities and improve myself. I used to work from Monday to Saturday and we did not have any training program internally.

Anyway, have a bite at this article about being efficient as a freelance worker. With Simon Stapleton advices you can make your clients say "Wow!".

It's been a long time...

Hi Friends, first I apologize I haven't been a good bloggirl the last few months, well much work and so many new things in my life... Anyway. We've launched the second version of the microfinance portail in Senegal and we are working on Nigeria's and Burkina Faso's hoping they will be set soon. Take a look at the changements. Well you won't be able to compare this with the old one but anyway we've manage to have sommething colorful and alway s up to date. The main thing in web content management is to have updated information at least twice or thrice a week to keep your regular visitors coming and grap some new visitor's interest. So, take a tour on the project I've been working on for more than a year now :

Portail Microfinance and SENEGAL

what we've introduced here are the RSS feeds for people to put on their sites on personal page to keep uptodate with the information on the sector, we've managed to add some more mirofinance actors and to organized the profiles in a clearer structure by splitting old sections... Well you see it for yourself. I'm showing the website tomorow morning to the General Direction for the Decentralized Cooperation's representative From Belgium and in two more weeks to a group of investors in microfinance at the ministery. Wish me luck! Bineta TOURE

new horizons

I'm back! Hello bloggers and sorry for being absent such a long time (nearly two months). But I have been really busy and got lots of things to tell you about :

first of all the NGO where I was doing my training proposed me a job. Neat? yep, the problem? well someone else came up with a more interesting job long before i had finished my traing.
The kind of work is more of a communication and marketing work on the Internet. I should be working on-line and also off-line from time to time. The idea is more to hold the company's communication tools like it's websites, and to make a big noise on the web so to tell everyone that it's the best thing on earth. Well it will be pretty different from what I was doing back at the NGO but I trust I will learn new things from working daily with the Linux plateform and creating ads for the web, finding new promotion strategies ...and maybe more.
I will have to work in both english and french, and I'm supposed to begin next month. Now how about that?

See, told you I had been busy. Well I also presented my training and that went fine too, the jury was quite satisfied with my work and congratulated me on it. I got that on tape for my family back home. One of the members in the jury gongratulated me on the presentation, saying it was clear, that the work I did with the website for the cause of the development in poor countries was interesting and had never been made ... Well at least that's the meaning I caught from all the things that had been said.. The assistance had no questions and everyone got caught in the topic.

To conclude tonight, I should be back in Senegal in less than 10 days and will be discovering new horizons from the web industry.. I have couple of projects I may share with you later on.Take care
B.T.

The Microfinance Portal of Senegal

This is the website I have been working on since the 1st of March; http://senegal.portailmicrofinance.org

It's part of a global thing that should soon host all the microfinance portals of the west African Union...
For the Launching we organized, in cooperation with the Ministry of Microfinance & CO. a conference to present the website and declare official the year of the Microcredit in Senegal.

It was a big occasion to proove to the Central BANK that the money was handled properly and efficiently.
Well, it's all good
I now better be finalizing the brochures I also have to design. that's something I really enjoy : design...

Begin training

So as i finished my exams I left my flat and came to my homeplace Dakar, where i have began my six month training to finish my Master. It's alla good, Im in charge of an Internet website focused upon Microfinancing and local institutions.
My Boss came this noon and we'll be discussing my first week probably tomorow.
Well, apart from that i'm working with SPIP to feel in the articles on the website. And for the brochures I manage to download two pretty neat sofwares : GIMP wich is an alternative to Adobe's Photoshop, and INkscape, wich is an alternative to Ilustrator.

With these I managed to compose some interesting designs. So thanks to freeware, i'm avoiding piracy, few!!
THe structure I work in is majorly composed with young adults and men. And If you ask me? It's all good !
the work is doing pretty fine and i'm trying to focus my analysation for the final Report .
It should be on the integration and impact of Computer tools in Small Institutions.

Well I'll keep up with the writing now that i'm back behind a connected PC! I've been moving the last few weeks, from Switzerland to Paris and now to Dakar!!

Off with the exams

Goody!!
I'm done with my final exams and off to begin my six month training ! I'm very excited because I have the chance to go to Senegal for that and spend some time with my family. It's been 5 month since I last saw them...
After all the great courses and all the neat teachers, I feel ready for it : managing online contents and learn more during my training period. Well after that I'll be off to prepare a futur carreer...I hope, now it's becoming serious, don't you think? It's great!

I promise to let you all know how I'm doing. The project I'll be working on is the re-creation of a website , re-organizing the whole thing, and play the role of a webeditor. I'll be working in a Belgium non-governmental Organisation. They are based in West Africa and are involved in the environnemental problems, developpment, finance etc...
I'll be thankful If you could share with me some of your experience. Thanx a lot!

Lining up with linux

One of my classmate at the faculty told me a little about the advantages of using linux. Since then I have been thinking of changing my windows XP for a Linux plateform.

Since most of the sofwares developed on linux are free that could help me explore very fast most of them that are related to web building. I could also try and find the alternatives to the windowsXP's sofwares I already use. The thing with Linux is , like PC or MAC, you have to get used to it.

Linux adapts to all sofwares and browsers. And besides the fact that it's free, I love that little Pinguin...Don't you?

If you are hesitating to use Linux maybe this page will help and make you change your mind.
If you're still not wanting to use Linux, you can always download all it's free sofwares which are both Mac and PC compatible. It's the Open-Source phenomenon !

Moreover, Linux is the only plateform with which you can work with without having to install it on your computer. In that case, all you need to do is burn the application on a CD and put that CD into your computer, and you're off to using Linux.

And hey, for all of you nerds out there, forgive me for writing about Linux so so late...If you could tell us more about the Linux plate-form, please do not hesitate, you are very welcomed to do so !

Bineta.
